The short version
- We only collect what we need to run and moderate the Site-47 community: tickets, appeals, applications, punishment records and the accounts they belong to.
- In some Discord channels an AI service checks messages for rule breaks. It never punishes anyone. A staff member always decides.
- We do not sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.
- You can ask what we have about you, and ask us to correct or remove it.
Site-47 is a Roblox SCP roleplay community. "We" means the Site-47 team that runs the website at site-47.net and the Site-47 Discord bots. This policy covers the main Site-47 Discord server, the Appeals & Reports server and the website.
Automated message checks
In channels that staff choose, our bot collects new messages for about 30 seconds and then sends the last 25 or so messages of that channel, the usernames in them and our punishment guidelines to Claude, an AI service made by Anthropic. The AI looks at the whole conversation, like a moderator would, and says whether something may break the rules.
- If it finds nothing, nothing is stored by us.
- If it thinks a message may break a rule, the bot posts a report in a private staff channel with the conversation, your username and the rule that may apply. A staff member reviews it and either closes it or takes action. The AI cannot punish anyone by itself.
- Anthropic processes the messages only to give us the result. Under Anthropic's terms for its API, this data is not used to train its AI models and is only kept for a limited time.
What we collect
When you use Discord
- Your Discord account: ID, username, display name, avatar, roles and when you joined, as Discord shows them to every bot in the server.
- Messages in checked channels, as described above.
- Tickets: what you write in report and appeal forms, the messages in your ticket, and the images and videos posted there. When a ticket is closed we save a transcript, and media is copied to our file storage so evidence is not lost when Discord deletes it.
- Feedback you give after a ticket (a rating and an optional comment).
When you use the website
- Discord sign-in: your Discord ID, username, display name and avatar. For verification we also ask Discord to add you to the Appeals & Reports server.
- Applications: your answers, your Discord account, the date your Discord account was created and, if linked, your Roblox account. If you are invited to an interview, we store the offered and chosen times, notes and replies.
- Appeals you send through the website, and browser notifications if you turn them on (your browser's notification address, until you turn them off).
- Your IP address and browser type, to limit how fast requests can be sent and to block networks that attack the site. Most of this is only kept in memory for minutes.
Moderation records
- Punishment logs: who was punished, the punishment, the reason, the evidence, who issued it and when, and any appeal and its outcome. If you are logged with a Roblox account, we look up your Roblox ID and username so in-game bans work.
- Staff notes and watchlist entries that staff write about players. These are never public.
If you are a staff member
- Your console account, permissions, shift times, leave requests, settings and the actions you take in the console (in the audit log).
- The devices and networks you sign in from, to warn you about sign-ins you do not recognise. Two-factor authentication secrets are stored encrypted.
Why we use it
- To keep the community safe and enforce our rules, which is in the interest of everyone in it.
- To handle what you ask us to do: your ticket, appeal or application.
- To protect the website and our accounts from abuse and attacks.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
We only share data with the services we need to run Site-47:
- Discord: our bots and the website sign-in work through Discord.
- Anthropic: the AI message checks described above.
- Roblox and Bloxlink: to look up Roblox accounts and the link between your Discord and Roblox accounts.
- Railway: hosts the website and bots.
- MongoDB: our database.
- Cloudflare: file storage for evidence and ticket media, and protection of the website.
Some of these services are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. We may also share information if the law requires it, or with Discord or Roblox when we report a serious rule break to them.
How long we keep it
- Punishment logs, tickets, transcripts, applications and staff notes: as long as they are needed for moderation, for example to handle appeals and repeat offences. You can ask for them to be removed (see below).
- AI reports: in the private staff channel until staff remove them.
- Website sign-ins: until the login expires or you sign out.
- Blocked networks: while the block is active and up to 7 days after it ends.
- Audit log: the newest 2000 staff actions.
What is public
- The public blacklist shows the username, blacklist type, platform, status, date and public reason of people who are publicly blacklisted. Evidence and staff notes are never shown.
- The staff page shows staff members' Discord names, avatars and ranks.
- The analytics page only shows totals, never names.
Cookies
The website only uses cookies that it needs to work: a login cookie after you sign in with Discord, and short-lived cookies during sign-in and two-factor checks. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us:
- what data we have about you,
- to correct something that is wrong,
- to remove your data,
- to stop the automated checks from looking at your messages (we will tell you which channels are checked so you can avoid them).
Some records, like active punishments or evidence in an open case, may have to stay to keep the community safe. If we cannot remove something, we will tell you why. If you live in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Contact
Open a ticket in the Appeals & Reports server and ask for A&R Leadership. Tell us what you want to know or have removed. We will answer as soon as we can, and within 30 days at the latest.
We may update this policy when the website or bots change. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and important changes are announced in Discord. You can also read the short version in the rulebook, chapter 9.
